Morning Roundup
California, in it's abundance of abandoned air strips out in the middle of nowhere, you can see why it's the perfect host for drag racing. Off the beaten path, some miles north of San Luis Obispo, you exit off the 101 into a small ranch town where you're greeted by the local livestock roaming around the grassy hills around the ranches. Following the winding dirt roads down to the strip I could see a few roadsters up ahead waiting for a cow blocking the road, to clear their way to the pits. The old ranch overlooks the air strip down the slope with the grassy and dry mountains in the background making the perfect back drop for photos. Off to go shake some hands in the pits and staging lanes before the racing starts!
