Larry & The 66 Car '35 Ford@El Mirage, CA_Pt. 2

Frankenstein Ford

It all started when I pointed my lens and panned with him across the horizon when he stops, disconnects his steering wheel, and smiled for a picture. It was that moment that gave me the impression that this guy likes to party - and I was right. He pulled over and called me over to get a better glimpse of his creation and enthusiastically explaining every aspect of his car. I couldn't quite make out the car but I definitely saw cues of certain cars put into one solid Indy-inspired race car. Larry has been building these cars for years, each hand built by himself. A Costa Mesa resident, Larry is well known in the vintage car community and makes several appearances at shows with this car. He also builds these custom cars for people interested in owning a unique looking hot rod a fairly reasonable price.

Getting to know Larry within the short amount of time I chatted with him, I felt like we knew each other for years. A very charismatic person with a deep passion for building cars, racing cars, and most of all - chasing tail in cars. Yep, this car was not only meant to set records and break necks, but come on, babes love a guy in a hot rod especially when it looks like this!
