≫Birth Of Drunk In Dresses
≫So the whole fam has been preparing for quite some time for this year's main event. If you're not familiar with traditional Filipino debuts, they're a pretty penny and a stressful process. Broken down it's pretty much a Filipino quinceanera, decked out dresses, silky white veils, synchronized dancing with a full entourage court! I would list everything it takes to make one of these happen properly but that would take to much fucking time and space...
Anyways...we ain't made outta money like other Filipino families who shell out more than 20+ grand on a one night stand for their daughter in 4-5 star hotel ballroom. Na, hell na, we're the Flips next door that bring leche flan and some cheap ass Trader Joe's wine to welcome our new neighbors to the neighborhood. Just a little hush food and drank to not rat on us to the cops when my parents throw crazy dinner parties.
So where was I going with this? Oh right, the debut.
My dad decked out the backyard, my mom cooked up a smorgasbord of her best dishes complete with name cards for each dish, full Tiki Bar minus the alcohol...yeah, tell me about it, my parents against alcohol? pshh...
Although we lacked in a legit sound system and MC's, aside the embarrassing moments where my dad a.k.a. DJ Tony The Tiger failed to cue the right songs at the right moment, the dances, rose and candle presentations went pretty well. Mother Nature was nice enough to share some good ol' southern Cali sunshine.
Well enough of my rambling, pictures do way better justice and for people with slow ass connections...ha! good luck scrolling through...56k BEWARE, wait, does that shit still exists?...
