The Road to Paradise
The constant raining had cleared up for the weekend to allow some warm sunshine for this two day weekend getaway in Palm Springs. I personally enjoy the laid back pace of this desert city and the mixture of modern and retro culture. The Paradise Road Show was held at the Ace Hotel where choppers, rodders, fashion brands and families came to gather and share their love and passion of this culture. The vendors filled up the venue space nicely and the variety and selection of vendors reminded me of Inspiration LA with an emphasis on motorcycle culture. My favorite part (and pretty sure everyone else's) of the venue was the B. Blakey custom embroidery booth where the talented Brian, himself, was doing freehand chain stitching on pretty much anything you have him. Huge fan of his work but since he's on the east coast, I barely have a chance to get any work done from him so I took this opportunity to get something embroidered. As fate had something in store for me, I coincidentally brought my denim coveralls which was a perfect piece to get chain stitched! It was worth the wait and gave me some new inspiration for my next project.
