Launch Day
It was finally time to see some action and the smell of burning rubber and methanol filled the air. Ear blistering warm-ups echoed into the bleachers and the crowd was loving it. Ladies and gentlemen, it's time for take off! The open class was already making impressive passes within the single digit times with speeds anywhere from 80mph-115mph. The long wait from the track preparation delay was well worth it.
After the open class finished a few runs, it was time to get serious with the FX class where cars started to "hop" off the starting line averaging high 6's to low 7's.
