Steady Hand of a "Wildman"
It's a dying art they say, but not for Mooneyes' master painter Hiro "Wildman" Ishii who is a legend in pinstriping and in the hot rod culture. He's proof that artists like him are still relevant and their craft is a highly refined skill that anyone can appreciate. I was surprised to not see a crowd around him while he painted on Moon Equipped insignias on competing FX class cars. To actually watch someone pinstripe in person makes you appreciate the honed skills of years of training the eye and hand to coordinate, measure, and plan each stroke. I was in the presence of a true legend and being to able capture him in his element was an experience I'll never forget.
